Consumer spending in the build-to-order industry may be slowing.

At the beginning of 2020, our team identified a rise in consumer spending before the trend was visible to our vendors. Now, our analytics are demonstrating that this trend is reversing, and that consumer spending on backyard structures may begin slowing down. 

 

As you can see in the graph below, consumer activity has been decreasing an average of 6.2% week over week since the end of April. Although you are likely focused on a backlog of customer orders, we strongly recommend that you begin preparing for a downturn.
